VEX Robotics
Our VEX Robotics Competition (VRC) team takes on the challenge of designing and building robots to compete in alliances of two, going head-to-head to score points. Each year, a brand-new game is released with different tasks to complete, so our team must adapt and innovate to succeed. Using the standard VEX kit of parts, we work within the same constraints as every other team—pushing ourselves to create unique designs, test bold ideas, and develop solutions that stand out on the competition field.
The Competition Experience
Competitions are usually a 1 day event. We do a average of 5 matches before the finals. During these matches, we have a teammate and 2 opponents in a 2v2 format. Depending how many we win we get a better score and position for finals. During finals, we are able to pick our partners, which is anyone who is still in the competition.
Team A and Team P are both teams that participate in VEX Competitions. Team A is our junior and Seniors team, the people who have experience with VEX. Team P is for most of our newcomers. Mostly for teaching newcomers for Team A. Team P also covers many side projects like for marketing.
